A Young Woman Engages In Excessive And Abusive Drinking And Gets Outstanding Help At An Alcohol Treatment Center For Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms And Symptoms Of Alcoholism

Beth was the mother of two children. Beth had been feeling quite anxious lately and started to "medicate" herself by having several glasses of wine each evening after she put her children to bed. After roughly four weeks of this drinking routine, she at last understood the fact that instead of helping her calm down and deal with her difficulties, drinking made her feel less rested when she awakened. This, in turn, made her feel increasingly more stressed all through the day.

After thinking about her situation for several days, Beth decided to talk about her problem drinking with her best friend. In fact, approximately five minutes into their chat, Beth's friend Courtney, told her about a very knowledgeable and competent doctor at the local drug and alcohol abuse treatment center. After talking to her best friend, Beth immediately got motivated to call the treatment center and make an appointment.

Ten days later she finally got to meet the physician her friend had talked about. After their short introduction, Beth explained to the psychiatrist that ever since she and her husband got divorced, she has been struggling financially, spiritually, and psychologically.

As Beth was talking to the physician, she underscored the point that she really thought that she and Robert dated long enough to know each other well enough before they got married. After the children started to arrive, however, their relationship seemed to fall apart. To make mattes even worse, both she and Robert started to drink, and their alcohol abuse adversely affected their finances, their love for one another, and their relationship.

The physician explained to Beth that the alcohol poisoning symptoms she has been experiencing are due to her careless drinking. The psychiatrist also told Beth that her alcohol withdrawal symptoms are some of the usual symptoms of alcoholism and that the most effective solution for this is alcohol rehab.

After spending three months in inpatient alcohol rehab, Beth was little by little able to realize that the real source of her stress and her depression was the fact that she had not worked through her angry feelings she has for her ex-husband who had divorced her. In a word, Beth let these feelings upset her so much that she became an alcoholic.

Armed with these insights and with the medications her doctor prescribed, she eventually stopped drinking, she began to feel considerably less depressed, and she started scheduling time for social activities with her family and friends. What is more, a few months after receiving rehab from her physician, she even started to date once again.

It was clear that Beth had certainly come a long way. In fact, just around five months after she completed her treatment, Beth had finally laid the harmful thoughts of her ex-husband to rest and was beginning to feel more self worth and more spiritually "sound" and psychologically "together" than she had ever felt in her life.
